Refugee Representations by the Greek Public Administration: A Critical Review of the Greek Institutional Discourse

This paper examines the political narratives employed in strategic communication between Greek authorities and public administration during refugee flows of 2015-2018. It also looks into formation images concerning refugees within context contributes to existing literature on discursive representations refugees. The study delves role rhetoric or non-strategic image formation, thus revealing other side media representations. focuses an overlooked aspect communication: discourse institutions. methodology uses qualitative content analysis with elements analysis, focusing press releases from institutions involved crisis, as well a selected corpus speeches government members local authorities. examined include Ministry Migration Policy, Regional Administration North Aegean, South Aegean. research covers period January 2015 April 2018, encompassing total 159 issued by under regarding situation.
